QUEST NORTHEAST > SPEAKER INFORMATION

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How do I register as a speaker?

Primary speakers will be issued a code once the speaker agreement is completed. Please note that only the primary speaker is issued the code, and only one code is issued per session.

Quest realizes the time involved in preparing and delivering a high quality presentation and will reward Presenters with a full, complimentary conference registration to Quest Northeast (limit one complimentary registration per session. This does not include hotel, meals and travel). If presenting more than one session, the speaker will only be eligible for one complimentary registration. Complimentary registrations are not transferable to another attendee. However, if a speaker change is required a substitution can be made.

Presenters are welcome to include additional speakers in their presentation. However, only one complimentary conference registration will be provided for each session.

If you wish to forgo your complimentary registration, you must notify Quest Education at education@questdirect.org informing us of this decision. You must also include the co-presenters name that you will be giving the complimentary registration to.

2. How can I get my speaker agreement?

The Quest Northeast Education schedule is now complete, so accepted speakers should have received their speaker agreement via e-mail. If your session has been approved and you have not received your speaker agreement please contact education@questdirect.org

3. When and where do I send my presentation?

By June 18, 2008, Quest must receive an electronic copy of the PowerPoint you will be presenting at the conference. The PowerPoint must be in the Quest Northeast Template (or, if an Oracle employee, the current Oracle Corporate PowerPoint template). You can download the template here. If you have any questions about the template or are ready to submit it, please send an e-mail to education@questdirect.org. Failure to submit your PowerPoint presentation by June 18 will result in your session not being included in the conference proceedings.

4. How do I get the template?

. How should I format/save my presentation?

Please PDF your presentations before sending, if at all possible. Save the file with the Session ID as the filename only. (For example: 12345.pdf or 12345.ppt)

When preparing your presentation for the CD, please keep the slides to no more than 24 slides with minimal graphics and pictures. This just needs to be the basics of your presentation. If the presentation is too large for the upload it will be sent back to you for editing which may result in missed deadline to be included on the CD. Your onsite presentation can be as large and include as many graphics as you like. We do ask that you keep company logos to the first and last slide.

  • Internet access will also be provided in each room. It will be a hard wired, not a wireless connection

7. Will I need to bring my own laptop?

8. Can I make changes to my presentation?
