The Women in Technology Forum was so popular last year, Quest, IOUG and OAUG are bringing it back – and expanding! What was just a panel discussion last year will now kick off with a networking luncheon on Monday, April 14, and will culminate on Wednesday with a panel discussion featuring several well-known women working in the technology field. Join us for all the Women in Technology events to share lively stories and advice based on the experiences of women working in technology. Whether you are a woman who is interested hearing about others' experiences, or a man wanting to learn more, this session is open to all.
Women in Technology Networking Luncheon - This event is now full 2.25.08 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Hyatt Regency Hotel Creating a Culture of Courage: The New Leadership Challenge Cindy Solomon Cindy Solomon and Associates
As companies are demanding that employees take more risks, do more with less, and try to anticipate the future, courage has become a critical and often overlooked element of every leader's skill set and "scorecard." We can no longer be averse to taking risks or remain complacent in any organization -- for success depends almost entirely on our ability to make difficult decisions confidently and quickly… about our businesses, about our careers and about our lives.
While many believe that courage is a quality that leaders are born with, Solomon's extensive research shows that everyone can build "courage skills" and help create the strong, productive organizations needed to succeed in today's changing environment. Learn how to create an organization that not only embraces, but thrives on change -- and learns with every decision it makes how can help every leader succeed in this new world order. Creating Courage enables every employee and every organization to meet the demands of an uncertain future. Solomon's delivery of this humorous, poignant and highly provocative speech will leave the audience believing they can accomplish anything – both in their personal and professional lives! |
