ABOUT QUEST > GET INVOLVED

Everyone agrees: the more you put into your Quest membership, the more you will get out of it. Becoming involved in Quest through a committee, board or other activity is, without a doubt, a great way to maximize the return on your investment. We are a fun, informal group and everyone is welcome to participate at some level. The time commitment varies, so choose the activity that is right for you.

Participate in our Enhancement Request Process
The enhancement request process gives Quest's community a method to submit and discuss ideas and proposals for enhancing the Oracle products they use. It involves Quest's affiliated special interest, industry and product users group and their Oracle points of contact who are active in helping our affiliated groups move potential requests through the process. There are several ways for customers to be involved - from submitting requests to actually participating on the review groups that help drive the process. Learn more!

Join a Quest Committee
Interested in being part of the future of Quest and making a difference for the user community? Volunteer to participate on one or more Quest committees.

Responsibilities: Committee members provide thoughtful input to the deliberations of the committee, focus on the best interests of the user community rather than on personal/company interest, participate on a regular basis, and work toward fulfilling the committee's mission. We work hard, and have fun along the way!

Requirements: Involvement does not require an overwhelming amount of time—you can dedicate as much time as you choose depending on the opportunities you select. Most committees meet by conference call on a monthly basis, and some may hold a few face-to-face meetings. Note: some opportunities are limited to application users (customers) only.

    • Knowledge Committees
The Knowledge Committee's mission is to enhance Quest members' professional skills and knowledge through education and training. Committee members provide the customer voice in the selection of the educational sessions for Quest conferences and other education-related offerings of Quest. Knowledge Committee participation is ideal for customers who have attended conferences and have suggestions for enhancing the educational benefit to users. Members participate in regular conference calls and dedicate one to two hours per month to committee business. Volunteer today by emailing stacy.muir@questdirect.org.
    • Advocacy Committees
The mission of Quest's Advocacy Committees is to ensure Quest's services and offerings are appropriate to the needs of each community and to advocate for those communities. Committees are focused on JD Edwards World, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, PeopleSoft Enterprise, Oracle Fusion and Oracle Utilities. Members help identify and communicate to Oracle current and emerging issues specific to their application. Members participate in regular conference calls and dedicate one to two hours per month to committee business. Volunteer today by emailing viki.young@questdirect.org.

Apply for the Quest Board of Directors
Quest members interested in guiding the future of the Quest organization overall may be interested in Quest's Board of Directors. Quest uses a self-nomination process on QuestDirect. A Quest member in good standing and holding an Individual/Corporate membership (licensed user) may self-nominate. Once elected, directors serve a one- or two-year term and are required to attend at least 51 percent of all scheduled functions of the Board of Directors. Such activities include quarterly board meetings, conference calls and strategic planning sessions. For more information about the Quest board, visit our Become a Board Member page or contact
delaine.bender@questdirect.org.

Participate in a Special Interest or User Group
Quest's special interest, product, industry or regional groups provide an effective forum for linking with peers. Local, regional, or product/industry user group membership provides the opportunity to share ideas and information with other companies in your industry and with individuals who share your professional interests, providing an invaluable competitive advantage. To become a member of a SIG or user group, click the "User Groups" menu tab, or contact luke.hodges@questdirect.org.

Use Infocast
Infocast, Quest's online forum, is a simple way to become involved in Quest, while spending minimal time and helping not only yourself, but also other users. It's not a committee, but it is a unique opportunity to volunteer your expertise to answer other members' question. Infocast allows you to post and answer messages for users all over the world. If you have a question, problem or opinion you would like to share, Infocast is the place for you. One of Infocast's most rewarding features is that you will only receive messages in the categories you choose. For more information, contact jennifer.rogers@questdirect.org or sign up today at no cost.

Write for Q&A Magazine
If you have a unique case study, tip or solution that would benefit other Quest members, share it by writing an article for Q&A magazine, Quest's quarterly publication that goes to all Quest members. Quest offers a $500 payment for customer-written articles selected for the magazine. Contact jennifer.rogers@questdirect.org for submission deadlines and details.

Present at a Quest Event
One of the most valuable resources at Quest events is the knowledge gained through educational sessions, especially those presented by other users. If you are a user who has a case study, tip, technique or unique product experience, share it with other users at Quest events and receive your registration free. If you are interested in sharing a case study, tip, technique or unique experience at a Quest event, contact stacy.muir@questdirect.org.
